The full version of Sibelius Ultimate is around £600. How much education/academic discount do I get? Whilst you are waiting for your serial number you can install Sibelius Ultimate straight away and use it for 30 days fully functional. Your serial number will then be emailed to you from Avid usually within 48 hours. When you receive Sibelius Ultimate Academic for Students & Teachers you will find instructions inside the box (or for 'digital download' versions we will email you instructions) where you go to Avid's website and upload a document to verify that you are eligible for the academic discount. Before purchasing please check you are eligible by clicking here. Academic verification is post-purchase. Secondary school, college and University students and teachers are eligible for the educational discount ('private teachers' are usually not eligible).
Am I eligible for the Student/Teacher discount & how do I verify I am? For perpetual licenses ('boxed version' or 'download version') before your 12 months of support/upgrade ends you can choose to purchase upgrades/support for a further 12 months - see the perpetual Sibelius Ultimate upgrade plans here. Subscriptions also come with 12 months of upgrades/support however you will need to renew your Sibelius Ultimate subscription each year - like with any subscription. It's good to have peace of mind that if you have any problems installing Sibelius etc that Avid support will be available via phone to help! The 12 months of upgrades and support starts from the date when you install Sibelius.
